Volunteer Appreciation Day: Native Shrub Planting & Willow Weaving

With Dan Snider (CRISP) and Maureen Walrath.
Free Program co-sponsored with Schoharie Watershed Month.

We’re hosting a day to thank our volunteers and welcome new participants. Dan Snider (Catskill Region Invasive Species Partnership) will speak on invasive shrubs and we will plant beautiful native shrub alternatives in pre-weeded and pre-dug holes!  Learn and practice willow fence making with Maureen Walrath. Stay on for a picnic lunch and tours of the almost-completed timberframe Education Center which features 20 native tree species. Bring a trowel (optional), gloves, water bottle and come dressed for the weather.
