Dear Friend,

I have exciting news!

Mountain Top Arboretum has engaged Larry Weaner Landscape Associates to design and plant a wildflower meadow at the northern section of the West Meadow. Sunny meadow habitats blooming with native wildflowers are especially important to our native insect and bird populations, and they add dynamism to the landscape for humans as well. The new meadow will offer our visitors access to the Onteora Cemetery, allowing for sweeping views of the Arboretum and the southern Catskill Mountains.

With a goal of $27,000 to complete this phase of the project, we have already raised $19,000 and with your help, we can make these ecologically important and beautiful plantings a reality. Please make a donation to the West Meadow Border Project.

It’s an exciting time for the Arboretum, and I thank you for your continued support.
